Lukas Behnken is the founder and creative producer of Sterling Light Productions, A PGA Producer, Executive Producer, DGA Unit Production Manager, director, script consultant, and accomplished actor with over 50 film and television credits, Lukas is intentional about building the right creative teams during development, assembling powerful crews for production, and staying closely involved through every phase—from development to distribution—with a focus on delivering films that create lasting audience impact and real-world engagement.
Lukas works closely with a trusted network of independent financiers and high-net-worth individuals, many of whom have sought him out to produce and finance their projects. He has successfully secured financing for multiple independent films and award-winning documentaries, managing capital effectively and ensuring creative visions are realized at the highest level. His upcoming slate includes Twisted (Paramount, 2026) starring Djimon Hounsou, Lauren LaVera, and Neal McDonough, and The Prince (Manor House, 2026) starring Nicolas Cage, Andy Garcia, Scott Haze, and Giancarlo Esposito, alongside two 2026 documentaries: Surpassing Sight (Producer) and The Shadow of Forgiveness (Director/Producer).
Past producing credits include American Skin (Vertical), winner of the Sconfini Best Film Award at the Venice Film Festival, directed by Nate Parker and produced with Mark Burg ( SAw Franchise) and Tarak Ben Ammar ( Eagle Pictures) ; Alejandro Monteverde’s Sound of Freedom (Angel Studios); and the award-winning documentary Mully (Fathom/Brainstorm Media), Executive Produced by James Moll, which was released on approximately 1,000 U.S. screens and accompanied by a national social-action campaign through FOR GOOD—a company Lukas co-founded with Paul Blavin to connect inspired audiences directly to causes. Lukas has also secured rights to significant upcoming works, including the Simulacrum: The Oaks Remain trilogy and The Gina Din Story, and is actively expanding financing opportunities for future projects.
Through his nonprofit mentorship initiative The Bromont Program, in association with InsideOut Writers and his longtime friend and entertainment lawyer Todd Rubenstein, and the Anti-Recidivism Coalition, Lukas trains and mentors formerly incarcerated individuals in film production. He is also a founding member with Scott Haze of The Sherry Theater – Center for Performing Arts in the North Hollywood Arts District. As an actor, Lukas made his television debut on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in 1998 and has appeared in more than 20 film and television productions including Gilmore Girls, ER, Mad Men, Everwood, Cold Case, Dawson’s Creek and many others.

Katherine Boecher is the co-founder and creative partner of Sterling Light Productions, where she plays a crucial role in shaping the artistic direction and project slate of the company. With a discerning eye for storytelling, Katherine co-decides which projects move forward and leads brainstorming and script workshops that refine narratives from inception through development.
Born in Beaumont, Texas and raised in Kansas, Katherine began her career as a model at age 14 after signing with the prestigious Ford modeling agency. By 18, she graced international runways and appeared in leading fashion publications such as Italian Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle.
Transitioning into acting, she made her feature debut in Shonda Rhimes’ Crossroads and soon appeared opposite Jackie Chan in The Spy Next Door, as well as in Michael Bay’s Bad Boys 2 and Sundance-selected The Last Word. Her television credits include guest roles on acclaimed series such as Mad Men, The Closer, CSI: NY, ER, Heroes, and Supernatural—notably portraying the character Lilith in Season 4.
Since co-founding Sterling Light with Lukas Behnken in 2012, Katherine has been deeply involved in key creative and strategic decisions. She plays an active role in determining which stories the company pursues, shaping the creative direction of projects, and ensuring each aligns with Sterling Light’s mission to produce films that inspire, move audiences, and create meaningful impact.
